It was five years ago that Kia rolled out a redesigned Optima that overhauled our thinking about midsize sedans. And for 2016, Kia released an Optima that once again challenges any stereotypes about family four-doors. A new exterior design along with a slate of technological features reflects Kia's commitment to continuously refining and perfecting its craft.
Excitement surrounding the 2016 Optima begins with the first glance. LED lighting bookcases a body sculpted with bold contours, while an available rear spoiler and premium-finish 18-inch wheels make you forget you're looking at a sedan.
At the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge, the likes of Porsche and Aston Martin were outraced by a turbocharged Kia Optima. The Optima won the overall competition and is now winning over the trust of drivers everywhere. Key to the new Optima's performance is a chassis that is wider, lighter, longer, and stiffer, promoting a smoother ride with increased responsiveness.
As Kia's standards of luxury and performance increase, so too does the brand's expectations of safety. The all-new Optima is built with the very latest in safety technology, much of it designed to function automatically. The body of the Optima features a unique design of high-tensile strength steel, side-impact door beams, and front and rear crumple zones to minimize and distribute impact.
Spacious, comfortable, and meticulous in detail-welcome to the inside of the Optima. Coated with soft-touch material and available satin chrome accents, the interior is both inviting and aesthetically pleasing. It's also pleasantly quiet inside, thanks to sound-insulating laminated glass.
The innovation found in the Optima inspires confidence without influencing complexity. At the heart of all the technology is the available voice-commanded infotainment system to let you manage music, apps, navigation, and phone calls with just the magic word. The standardBluetooth® wireless technology keeps you connected to the world as you disconnect from your day.
Kia's commitment to excellence is evident in the Optima's industry-leading 10-year, 100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty.
