Jack Daniels Kia of Fair Lawn, NJ has eagerly awaited the rollout of the 2015 Kia K900 and 2014 Hyundai Equus, as they bring a new level of luxury to the Kia and Hyundai brands available in Fair Lawn, NJ. These cars may not have the same brand recognition that BMW or Mercedes offer, but these two affordable luxury cars are perfect additions to an under-diversified market.
Hyundai's Equus has been restyled for 2014, taking cues from its competitors, specifically the German and Japanese models. With new materials, a more cohesive design and high end luxury features, this car is set to surpass its competitors.

The Kia K900 carrying a price tag of $59,500, comes in slightly lower than $61,250 of the Hyundai Equus. The Kia K900 is an exceptionally well designed car, with creases, overhangs and performance numbers that help set this luxury sedan in the running for the best of Kia sedans.
Body
With a modified grill, LED fog lamps, refreshed side mirrors, turbine-blade wheels and rear graphics, the Equus is a standout for its updated body. The interior has a fresh look with the updated instrument panel, new shifting knob, interior wood paneling and new seat controls.
The Kia K900 has been outfitted with the Kia signature chrome grill, but the body recalls other luxury brands such as Lexus and even the new luxury line of Tesla. The Kia K900 is not one to standout in a crowd. Its design is simple and seamless, but it does not challenge its rivals with flashy details or unique style. However, what Kia does not put on the outside, they contain for the interior. The Kia K900 offers exceptional interior quality with real wood and leather trim throughout. The interior space is comfortable and roomy with exceptional interior features.

Under the Hood
The Hyundai Equus sports a 429hp V-8 "Tau" engine that is outfitted with an 8 speed automatic transmission, which can be shifted manually. This engine has all of the latest technologies and is designed to perform. With direct injection, variable induction tuned, and variable valve timing all which combine to boost this car from zero to sixty in under six. However, the noise is a bit louder on the Equus than other luxury sedans when achieving high speeds. The fuel ratings on this vehicle are about the same as the Kia K900 meeting a fairly unremarkable 15/23 EPA fuel efficiency rating.
By comparison the Kia K900 offers two options under the hood. The engine with a stronger profile has a 420hp V-8 engine that is complemented by an 8-speed rear wheel transmission. This model matches the Hyundai Equus in fuel efficiency coming in at a reported 23mpg highway and 15mpg city. There is also a base model, which offers a more fuel efficient model that boasts a 311 horsepower V-6 engine that has a significantly better fuel rating at 27mpg highway and 18mpg city. The Kia K900 fails to offer fuel alternative models and falls behind competitors on this front. Of the two vehicles, the Kia K900 leads the charge with a luxury car that provides options for more power and more fuel efficiency with its V-6 offering.
Kia K900 vs Hyundai Equus Summary
In comfort, quality and price both cars are exceptional values for any Fair Lawn, NJ driver. Neither car is able to stand out, boasting the same interior packages of their competitor in luxury lines. The Kia K900 edges out the competition with its V-6 engine and its stealth-like performance.
